چکیده

Endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in the aquatic environment have garnered a lot of attention during past few years. Due to their toxic behavior, which interferes with endocrine functions both humans and species, these types compounds been recognized as major polluting agents wastewater effluents. Therefore, development efficient sustainable removal methods for emerging contaminants is essential. Photocatalytic using silver carbonate (Ag2CO3)-based photocatalyst promising process due unique characteristics this catalyst, such absorption larger fraction solar spectrum, wide band gap, non-toxicity, low cost. The photocatalytic performance Ag2CO3 has recently improved through doping elements optimization variation operational parameters resulting decreasing rate electron–hole pair recombination an increase semiconductor’s excitation state efficiency, enables degradation under UV or visible light exposure. This review summarized some relevant investigations related Ag2CO3-based materials EDC from water. inclusion water recovery procedure suggests that creation cutting-edge protocol essential successfully eliminating EDCs ecosystem.

Endocrine disrupting chemicals

The idea that xenobiotic chemicals could inappropriately modlate the endocrine system thereby causing detrimental effects n wildlife and humans was first proposed 20 years ago at the atershed Wingspread Conference [1,2]. These endocrine disruptng chemicals (EDCs) have long been controversial, with a great eal of discussion raging in the scientific literature. Much of this ontroversy has centere...

Cryptorchidism and endocrine disrupting chemicals

Prospective clinical studies have suggested that the rate of congenital cryptorchidism has increased since the 1950s. It has been hypothesized that this may be related to environmental factors. Testicular descent occurs in two phases controlled by Leydig cell-derived hormones insulin-like peptide 3 (INSL3) and testosterone. Disorders in fetal androgen production/action or suppression of Insl3 a...

Graphene oxide supported titanium dioxide & ferroferric oxide hybrid, a magnetically separable photocatalyst with enhanced photocatalytic activity for tetracycline hydrochloride degradation

A facile, robust approach to the synthesis of Fe3O4/rGO/TiO2 nanocomposites is described. The synthesis involves two major steps: (1) preparation of Fe3O4/GO by an electrostatic self-assembly method; (2) deposition of TiO2 on the surface of the Fe3O4/rGO nanocomposite via a hydrothermal method. The asprepared Fe3O4/rGO/TiO2 photocatalyst exhibited an enhanced photocatalytic activity for the deg...

Degradation of endocrine disrupting chemicals in aqueous solution by interaction of photocatalytic oxidation and ferrate (VI) oxidation.

In this study, the degradation of bisphenol A in aqueous suspension by interaction of photocatalytic oxidation and ferrate(VI) oxidation was investigated under different conditions. The results indicate that the formation of Fe(V) and Fe(IV) is in the photocatalytic reduction of Fe(VI) by electron (ecb-) on the surface of TiO2. The oxidation efficiency of the photocatalytic oxidation in the pre...
